Work with people who make your heart sing.

Work with people who make your heart sing.

Working with Anna Fishbeyn on Galaxy 360 was a creative highlight! I played Clement, a real estate mogul (ironic given my Melania impression!), who was a judge in a beauty contest for men in an alternate universe where women have a ll the power. We watch the contestants deal with body shame, insecurities, and infighting, because the most precious commodity to them was female approval.

No doubt this film got made and is making the rounds, because of Anna’s relentless ferocity. She’s a director with an uncompromising vision. This movie makes mincemeat of all the other movies who are supposed to be the feminist beacons. Its existence is a miracle because the industry does not support bold feminist work that pushes boundaries.

Seeing this film grow — including at the NYC premiere at Angelica Film Center, pictured here — is a reminder that you gotta create from the gut. If you feel I with your heart, the project will sparkle from the inside.

Being a part of this project has inspired me to take more creative risks. This year I’ve made a pact with myself to make the things I want to make. Work with the people I want to work with. No more creating for what I think an institution wants. No more giving an audition based on what I think the the director is thinking. I’m intent on living up to what my creativity demands. Amen.

Thank you @Joccelynofficial for dressing me up in the purple number. And yes, I did wear two outfits to the premiere.
